New Raffles Bali resort debuts Emotional Wellbeing programme and Wellbeing Butlers
– Michael Issenberg
Raffles Hotels and Resorts has introduced its new Bali destination, Raffles Bali, featuring a luxury spa inspired by local healing techniques.
With 32 private pool villas, the new destination features a Raffles Spa with two treatment suites, each equipped with their own soaking tub and sliding doors that lead to a terrace offering unparalleled views over the Indian Ocean and Jimbaran Bay sunsets.
The spa has also been designed with a private meditation terrace and remote hillside suite – called The Sanctuary – which facilitates outdoor treatments immersed in nature as well as private steamroom experience.
Raffles Bali will be the first Raffles to launch the brand’s new wellbeing programme called Emotional Wellbeing by Raffles – developed by Accor Wellness director, Lindsay Madden-Nadeau – which is based on seamlessly combining wellness and luxury through a selection of wellness touchpoints throughout the guest experience.
One example of the new rollout is Raffles’s Wellbeing Butler service, implemented to help guests explore the resort and take them on a journey of discovery.
According to Raffles: ‘With an extensive and genuine knowledge of the island, our Wellbeing Butlers will enrich your time with an insider’s perspective on local customs. They can arrange a selection of unique cultural experiences, from temple dance ceremonies to traditional cooking classes.’
The spa will offer health and beauty programmes which borrow inspiration from Balinese and South-East Asian traditional healing practices and will supply a range of treatments including facials, massages, scrubs, wraps and reflexology treatments using Ayurvedic spa brand, Subtle Energies, and local product house, Spa Bali.
Raffles has announced that the spa is offering guests the additional opportunity to enjoy treatments in the comfort of their own villas, as well as providing a schedule of mindfulness classes covering everything from yoga and meditation to Reiki and sound healing.
The spa is also hosting an ongoing visiting practitioner series which will invite global experts to share their insight and knowledge with guests about topics such as chakra balancing, sound healing meditation, Reiki and soul blessing.
“We’re delighted to introduce our most iconic hotel brand to the beautiful island of Bali,” says Michael Issenberg, chair and CEO Accor Asia Pacific.
“The highly-anticipated Raffles Bali will be the brand’s second hotel in Indonesia, joining the stunning Raffles Jakarta, and is set to become a special retreat for guests to feel pampered, through meaningful experiences and service that is both gracious and intuitive.”
All villas at the resort are infused with a focus on wellness, with indoor and outdoor showers, yoga mats, bespoke beach accessories and an indulgent soaking bathtub.
