Eye In The Sky's Jungle Bubbles put the elephants outside the room

The Jungle Bubbles were custom designed to create a milieu in which guests can enjoy an immersive, close-to-nature experience.
– Gauderic Harang

Eye In The Sky have produced two inhabitable bubbles in which guests can stay for an up-close experience with elephants at Anantara's Golden Triangle Elephant Camp & Resort.

The 650,000sq m (7 million sq ft) resort is located in Chiang Rai, northern Thailand, at the confluence of the Thailand, Laos and Myanmar borders.

Situated on a hill, it provides views out over each country, of the Mekong and Ruak rivers and of the surrounding jungle landscape that is home to rescued elephants.

The bubbles are 4.5m (14.8ft) in diameter, provide 22sq m (237sq ft) of floor space and are raised up onto wooden platforms to provide the best possible views of passing elephants.

Constructed from high tech polyester fabric, they house a fully air-conditioned bedroom and living space with a kingsize bed, a seating area, an en-suite shower and a vanity space.

Gauderic Harang, general manager of Anantara Golden Triangle Elephant Camp & Resort, said: "Perfectly blending the magnificent setting of Northern Thailand’s ancient jungle with a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to spend the night observing the Kingdom’s majestic elephants in their natural habitat, the Jungle Bubbles were custom designed to create a milieu in which guests can enjoy an immersive, close-to-nature experience."
