GHM updates spa offerings across its international portfolio
The Chedi Club Tanah Gajah Ubud has launched three new pool spa villas on the Island of the Gods in Bali to meet demand for more intimate experiences, as part of a range of updates being rolled out across operator General Hotel Management's (GHM) portfolio.
Each of the three villas now features a pool, 3.5m (11ft) wide by 7m (23ft), in a private Balinese stone walled courtyard.
“People who come to Ubud crave the opportunity to make the most of as much quiet, contemplative time as they can,” said Simon Spiller, the hotel’s general manager. “With pools in their courtyards and treatment facilities nestled between their indoor living space and outdoor bathing area, we’re cultivating even more exquisite levels of privacy.”
Interior spa treatment facilities have been updated to include ironwood decks and new furnishings.
Conceptualised, developed and operated by General Hotel Management (GHM), the company has implemented a number of changes to its portfolio of spas. Pregnancy massage beds are to be installed in GHM spas, with the addition of ‘ila mother-to-be treatments’ to their spa menus.
GHM is also updating each of its spa menus. The first property to debut its new menu will be the Vietnamese Nam Hai in August. New treatments at The Chedi Muscat in Oman will follow in October and then in December the spa menus at the Swiss Chedi Andermatt, The Legian in Bali and The Chedi Club Tanah Gaja Ubud will be unveiled.
Bali’s The Legian, which saw the completion of its 2013 refurbishment in October, is adding a hammam to its oceanfront spa as part of wellness development plans.
