Second Maison by LVMH opening on Friday in the Maldives

by Aoife Dowling | 13 Nov 2013

Cheval Blanc Randheli, the second Cheval Blanc Maison by LVMH Hotel Management, will open 15 November on Noonu Atoll in the Maldives.

The resort is set on a secluded lagoon a 40-minute journey north of Malé by private seaplane, it features 45 loft-style villas all with a private infinity pool and dining pavilion plus a private beach and spacious overwater decks or dedicated gardens.

The villas are comprised of 15 one or two-bedroom island villas, 15 water villas perched on stilts over water, 14 garden villas and the owner’s villa with its own spa, overwater lounge and outside pool.

The resort, which has been created to reflect the island’s natural surroundings, was designed by Malaysian architect Jean-Michel Gathy.

The Cheval Blanc Spa offers tailored treatments by Guerlain created exclusively for Cheval Blanc Randheli including the Sun Ritual - preparing skin for a day in the sun - and the After-Diving Experience.

The spa features four single and two double treatment villas where guests can avail of Guerlain’s wellbeing treatments.

A Guerlain boutique displaying the brand’s skincare, make-up and fragrance collections is also available as well as a Hair Spa by Leonor Greyl, which offers exclusive, tailored hair beauty treatments using only natural ingredients.

Wellbeing experiences range from special full moon yoga salutation sessions to sunrise and sunset treatments. Two spa therapists will also be on hand to teach couples the art of relaxing foot, head, neck and shoulder massage in the Thai Massage Pavilion.

Other facilities include a beauty studio, barber shop, a yoga studio, relaxation pavilions, hot baths and a spa bar with snacks and juices served in private gardens and on the spa beach.

There are five dining experiences including fine dining at Le 1947, private dining at La Table de Partage, contemporary brasserie White, the Diptyque offering Japanese and Iberian cuisines and the Deelani fish restaurant.

Three bars also feature, offering varied and entertaining indoor and outdoor settings.

This is the second Maison in the Cheval Blanc portfolio. Its sister property Cheval Blanc Courchevel opened in 2006 in the Trois Valles French ski resort.
