The new £2.9m Parklea Community Sports Facility in Port Glasgow is in line for its official opening next month (August) after the development achieved practical completion.
S&P Architects have worked on the scheme - one of five phases in a wider £6.5m project - as lead consultant and designer after being appointed by Inverclyde Council.
Barr Construction has also worked with the local authority on the construction of the facility, which incorporates a new changing pavilion and a £650,000 3G synthetic sports pitch.
The all-weather pitch meets Scottish Junior Football Association regulations and will provide a new home for Port Glasgow Juniors, as well as being available for public use.
Elsewhere at the Parklea site, eight grass football pitches have been enhanced. Work has also been carried out to ensure the project did not disturb wintering Redshanks.
Inverclyde Council received a total of £1m from sportscotland to support the development of the new facility at Parklea, as well as a renovation of Ravenscraig Stadium.
