New spa planned for Devon hotel
Boringdon Hall Hotel director James Nettleton has announced plans for a new multi-million pound development to include a spa and a 60-bedroom expansion of the Devon property.
Further details of the project are expected to be announced in the New Year, with Plymouth-based ADG chosen as architects and Ward Williams Associates named as project manager.
The planned scheme follows the announcement earlier this year that the Nettleton Group had taken over the 41-bedroom property, which also includes The Gallery Restaurant.
It is expected that 50 new jobs will be created as part of the development, which forms part of a long-term strategy designed to secure the future of the historic hotel.
Nettleton said: "We are very excited to be announcing our plans for the development of Boringdon Hall. The building has an amazing history and hopefully this new development will secure its future."
ADG group director Marc Nash added: "We will apply our design experience and knowledge to ensure that we preserve and restore its enthralling heritage whilst creating a significant new leisure destination for Plymouth."
