Work to start on Temple Newsam playground

Leeds City Council (LCC) and Phys-Cap representatives will gather with schoolchildren on 24 March to mark the start of work on a new playground at Temple Newsam.
The majority of funding for the Phys-Cap Play Area has been secured by the charity, which has designed the facility in partnership with the local authority. Children of all abilities will be able to use the new playground, which will feature a sensory maze; an adventure unit; a zip wire; and swings, as well as other play features.
LCC executive member for children's services Judith Blake said: "This new playground will be something the entire city should be proud of and I have no doubt that it will be well used by hundreds of children regardless of their ability."
