Steiner to operate Tropicana Las Vegas spa
Steiner Leisure is to be the exclusive operator of a new spa facility that is set to open at the refurbished Tropicana Las Vegas Hotel and Casino in Nevada, US.
The operator has secured a 10-year agreement from the opening date of the facility, with an option to renew the deal for two five-year periods. Located on the Las Vegas Strip, the Tropicana is currently undergoing a major US180m (£112.8m) renovation to enhance the hotel and casino's offer.
Under the terms of its deal with the resort, Steiner will also work on the design concept of the 9,500sq ft (883sq m) spa and will contribute US$5.2m (£3.3m) towards the construction costs. Steiner president and chief executive officer Leonard Fluxman said: "The Tropicana is now in the process of a major metamorphosis, with a South Beach, Miami tropical theme."
Tropicana president and chief operating officer Tom McCartney added: "We are designing one of the most beautiful spas and fitness centres in Las Vegas, with a casual elegance that matches the rest of our resort."
