Wyre Borough Council (WBC) has announced that the latest designs for a £1.6m overhaul of Fleetwood's waterfront have been put on display.
Detailed plans for a new observation centre at Rossall Point have now been submitted for consideration, while proposals for Marine Gardens are nearing completion. The scheme is being funded through the government's now-defunct Sea Change project, and involves BCA Landscapes, Studio Three architects and artist Lesley Fallais.
Barry Birch, the council's cabinet member with responsibility for regeneration, said: "Things are getting exciting now we are reaching the point where the public can see their suggestions being turned into more detailed plans. "We have engaged with the public right from the start of this project and have encouraged people to comment and get involved. We shall continue to do that at each and every stage including during the build process and after completion."
