First renderings revealed for Front & York Residences in Brooklyn's DUMBO district
– Jason Schreiber, principal of CIM Group
Morris Adjmi Architects have unveiled the first set of renderings of the Front & York Residences, a resort-style residential development currently taking shape in Brooklyn’s DUMBO district.
The new complex will offer 150,000 sq ft (13,935 sq m) of leisure facilities, including a rooftop pool, co-working lounge, chef’s kitchen, private dining rooms and a wine room.
Front & York will also feature 408 one- to four-bedroom apartments, plus a private park designed by Michael Van Valkenburgh Associates.
The property is being developed by CIM Group and LIVWRK, who – along with Kushner Companies– acquired it for a reported US$345m (€307.5m, £273.7m) in 2016.
Speaking on the project, Jason Schreiber, principal of CIM Group, commented: "Morris Adjmi's architectural masterpiece will celebrate DUMBO’s historic architecture and benefit the community by activating the streetscapes with extra-wide sidewalks, vibrant retail, and beautiful trees."
Construction on the scheme is expected to begin later this year, with an anticipated completion date of 2021.
