Hightex wins third FIFA stadium contract
Systems engineering company Hightex Group has been selected to work on the Arena des Dunas in Natal, Brazil - one of the venues for the 2014 FIFA World Cup.
This is the third contract won by Hightex in partnership with Brazilian infrastructure company SEPA for a stadium for the 2014 FIFA World Cup.
Hightex and SEPA have won contracts for the Maracana Stadium in Rio de Janeiro and for the Beira-Rio Stadium in Porto Alegre.
The Arena das Dunas is a new stadium that will accommodate 45,000 spectators.
Hightex and SEPA will be responsible for installing the inner liner membrane structure of the roof.
The engineering work will commence immediately and construction is expected to be complete by the end of 2013.
Hightex CEO Frank Molter said: "We are delighted to have won this contract along with our existing work on the Maracana and the Beira-Rio Stadium projects.
"We look forward to building on these recent successes and exploiting Hightex's core technical skills, its high quality German engineering know-how and significant track record both in Brazil and globally."
